The Technology Innovation Group (TIG) designs and develops a wide range of innovative solutions for business units across Nomura. Examples include administrative sites to manage free seating and customer reservations, online news portals, internal video services, chat bot technologies, data science solutions, and more. TIG places focus on quick value delivery through agile development practices, utilizing new technology applied in novel ways.

Responsibilities:

| |
- Design, develop, test, document, and support new applications (primarily web-based)
- Perform R&D, ideation, and rapid POC development
- Work directly with end users across departments for project requirement gathering and design

| Mandatory |
- Back-end development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Python (3+ years)
- Web application development experience with React (3+ years)
- Ability to use SQL and design/work with databases such as MySQL
- Experience with common development tools such as Git, Maven, Jira, and Confluence
- Advanced business to native level spoken and written English language skills
- Proactiveness, with the ability to learn and work both independently and within small teams

| Preferred |
- Experience building and using containers and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Jenkins, etc.)
- Development experience with other technologies such as Angular, Bootstrap, Next.js, and C#
- iOS app development experience
- Data science expertise
- Finical business or product knowledge
- Written and/or spoken fluency in Japanese
