2）Responsibilities：
Nomura is currently recruiting a talented Professional who possesses expertise in MSSQL and MySQL databases, with a strong understanding of Oracle as a plus.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in Japanese, with proficiency in English to effectively communicate with our international team. In addition to database management skills, familiarity with other coding languages like python, java, and automation tool like ansible is preferred. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow within our dynamic team environment.

- Manage and maintain MSSQL, MySQL, and potentially Oracle databases.
- Perform database troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams and utilize coding skills to design and implement database solutions for new and existing applications.
- Implement database security best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Support the build, test, release of software written in a variety of programming languages, including Java, Python etc.
- Assist in data migration, backup, and recovery processes.
- Stay updated with Emerging technologies, trends and continuously enhance coding skills through self-learning and professional development opportunities

Requirements

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
- Fluent in Japanese with proficiency in English.
- Proven experience working with MSSQL and MySQL databases.
- Good knowledge of Linux platform.
- General infrastructure experience working in support engineering role (5+ years).
- Familiarity with Oracle databases is a plus.
- Strong understanding of database concepts and architecture.
- Experience in at least one other coding language or automation tool (e.g., Python, Java, Ansible).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Familiarity with various Telemetry, Observability and Monitoring tools and frameworks
- Excellent communication skills and sound analytical skills
- Any certification is welcome
