Job Overview:
Microsoft 365 is the strategic collaboration platform of choice for Nomura. As an Evergreen platform delivery never stops, there will always be features and products that need to be deployed to and to do this we need to ensure that we have a structure that supports this.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced M365 Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of Microsoft 365 products and services. This role requires a deep understanding of M365 capabilities, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
 
2)Responsibilities:
As a Product Owner, your role is to serve as a vital link between the products (Primarily focused on MS Teams and Copilot.) and the Business teams. You are responsible for fostering relationships with the Business teams to deeply understand their requirements, as well as the comprehensive understanding of Compliance requirements and controls to ensure our product features are launched safely for our users. Collaborating closely with a Microsoft 365 Portfolio Owner, technical strategy SMEs and Production support teams, you are responsible for steering the product's direction, new features triage & prioritization, the product roadmap development and maintenance, the roadmap items delivery to support the needs of the Business teams.

Key responsibilities include:
・Engaging stakeholders including global IT, Business, Compliance teams and managing these relationships
・Gathering, triaging and prioritizing Business requirements
・Roadmap development and maintenance collaborating with technical strategy subject matter experts
・Continuous delivery of product features and control enhancements, collaborating with the Production support team
・Support Business users through adoption of new and changing product features

Requirements:
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role with a focus on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Copilot products features and controls.
  • Excellent communication / stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Nomura-group wide various stakeholders from global IT teams and Business management teams (outside of IT division).
  • Strong problem analyzing and solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies to manage Microsoft 365 Evergreen product for the timely delivery of the product features.
  • Language Requirements: proficiency in both English and Japanese at a business level or higher.

  • ITIL certification
