1) Job/Group Overview:
Group Data Analytics Technology (GDA Tech) is part of the CTO group and is responsible for managing data and analytics technologies such as Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and other proprietary tools. The Data CoE (Center of Excellence) accelerates data utilization at Nomura Group in Japan, and this business analyst position supports Data CoE projects from various stages from project initiation to project completion. |

| 3) Responsibilities: |
- Project Management Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of data analytics projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
- Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data analytics projects.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business needs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct testing and validation of data solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the Data CoE.

Requirements:
・Experience:
ー8+ years of experience in a financial institution or an IT firm.
ー5+ years of BA experience in a financial institution or an IT firm.
・Language Skills: Native-level Japanese and business-level English (TOEIC 930+ or TOEFL 90+).
・Relationship Management: Must have excellent relationship management skills.
・Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
・Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
・Technical Skills (preferred):
ーProficiency in data-related tools such as Snowflake, StreamSets and Power BI.
ーStrong understanding of data management and analytics principles.
・Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is preferred. |
