Job Overview:
This role is suitable for a hands-on technical engineer with experience in release management and providing end-user support. The candidate will join a global team focused on delivering exceptional support and services to end users across the Nomura group of companies. They will be responsible for managing the release of updates and features, troubleshooting issues, offering solutions, and ensuring optimal usage of these technologies, all while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction in Japan. |

| Key Facts: |
- Primarily responsible for security compliance and verification of updates for Windows environments and Office products that are released globally, as well as coordination with the operations and maintenance teams for PCs in Japan.
- Act as a bridge between the global team and the Japan team.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
- Flexible working hours are available and often necessary in order to become an integral part of this multi-platform global engineering team.

Requirements
|
Essential Skills & Experience:
・Experience in global enterprise-scale IT support.
・Working knowledge of Microsoft related products:
◇Windows 10/11
◇Microsoft 365
◇MS Teams
・Working knowledge of Windows infrastructure components:
◇Group Policy
◇Packaging and deployment techniques
◇Build PC with Microsoft MCM (aka SCCM)
・Working knowledge of general infrastructure components:
◇Service Now for Incident Management, Request Management, and Change Management
・Experience with formal audit, compliance, change control processes and procedures typical of a financial services company, although FS experience is not in itself required |
| Desirable Skills & Experience: |
- Experience with business operations using Jira and Confluence.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, other scripting languages
- Interest in business efficiency and automation through AI solutions
- Project management skills - proven ability to present, plan, budget, design and implement while tracking decisions, managing change and mitigating risk
