■ Position Overview
Reporting to the Global Head of Cyber Threat Defense at Nomura, this strategic role leads the firm's cyber defense capabilities, ensuring protection of Nomura's global financial operations, client assets, and digital infrastructure while maintaining compliance with financial sector regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead cyber defense strategies at a premier global financial institution, requiring a blend of technical expertise, financial sector knowledge, and strategic leadership capabilities.

| ■ Key Responsibilities |
- Strategic Leadership & Financial Security The role encompasses developing and executing Nomura's cyber defense strategy, leading threat intelligence programs aligned with financial services, and driving innovation in security monitoring and response capabilities. You will oversee global SOC operations while protecting trading platforms, financial transaction systems, and client data. Key focus includes monitoring financial fraud, implementing regulatory controls (FISC, FSA, SEC, FCA), and safeguarding market-sensitive information.
- Operational Management & Team Leadership Direct global security operations across time zones, managing incident response for critical financial systems and vulnerability management. Lead a multinational security team, developing technical capabilities and fostering cross-regional collaboration. Ensure business continuity for critical financial operations while implementing sector-specific training programs and driving security culture.

| ■ Required Qualifications |
- Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Cybersecurity (Master's preferred), along with professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC). Financial sector security certifications are advantageous.
- Experience & Expertise: Minimum 10 years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in financial services, demonstrating proven leadership in global organizations. Must possess deep understanding of financial sector threats, trading platform security, and financial compliance requirements. Experience with fraud detection systems and market systems security is essential.
- Technical & Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of global financial markets, banking security requirements, and trading systems architecture. Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulatory frameworks and financial crime prevention. Expertise in securing trading platforms and implementing financial compliance controls.
- Language & Leadership Skills: Fluent English required, Japanese language skills highly desirable, additional Asian languages beneficial. Must demonstrate strategic thinking, crisis management capabilities, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- 学歴・資格：コンピュータサイエンスまたはサイバーセキュリティ分野の学士号（修士号があれば尚良し）を有すること。さらに、CISSP、CISM、CRISCなどの専門資格を保有していること。金融業界に関連するセキュリティ資格があると尚良し。
- 経験・専門性：サイバーセキュリティ分野で最低10年、金融サービス分野で5年以上の経験を有し、グローバル企業でのリーダーシップ実績があること。金融業界特有の脅威、取引プラットフォームのセキュリティ、金融コンプライアンス要件に関する深い知識。詐欺検知システムや市場システムセキュリティに関する経験。
- 技術・業界知識：グローバルな金融市場、銀行セキュリティ要件、取引システムのアーキテクチャに関する深い理解を有していること。金融規制の枠組みや金融犯罪防止に関する包括的な知識を持つこと。取引プラットフォームのセキュリティ確保や金融コンプライアンス管理の実施に関する専門性。
- 言語・リーダーシップスキル：英語が流暢であることが必須であり、日本語スキルがあれば尚良し。さらに、その他のアジア言語もあると望ましい。戦略的思考、危機管理能力、そして優れたステークホルダー管理スキルを発揮できることが求められる。

- Available for global travel, flexible hours across time zones, and on-call availability for critical incidents. Must understand Japanese business culture and have experience with global financial regulations.
